چکیده

The present study was designed for biomonitoring of heavy metals such as lead (Pb), cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), zinc (Zn), nickel (Ni), manganese (Mn) and cobalt (Co) at three selected wildlife parks Punjab. Soil, water feed samples analysis revealed the high contents in (21.59 ± 27.39 12.67 23.13) followed by soil (11.80 25.84 4.96 10.95) (2.93 4.48 1.11 1.23) Jallo Wildlife Park Bahawalnagar, respectively. At Murree, contamination recorded highest (10.45 16.35), (6.26 11.35) (5.75 9.54). Feathers all sites showed levels concentrations 12.21 25.69 Park, 11.50 25.63 Bahawalnagar 3.35 4.81 Murree. Interspecific variation among P < 0.01, bioaccumulation feathers captive birds found concentration, making them a good indicator biomonitoring. In captivity, feeding on homogenous diets particular environmental conditions can better allow us to understand polymetallic contamination, which further be generalized predict risk these toxic pollutants public health.

Heavy metal bioaccumulation and its potential relation with incidence of Canine Parvovirus infection in Golden Jackals, North Iran

BACKGROUNDS: Heavy metal toxicity has confirmed to be a critical threat to animals’ health. It has been proved that heavy metals can cause immunosuppression. Although, it is said that damage of immune function plays a contributing role in the increasing incidence of infectious diseases. The increasing use of rural habitats by jackals make them suitable to monitor the impact of anthropogenic on ...

Heavy Metal Uptake, Translocation, and Bioaccumulation Studies of Triticum aestivum Cultivated in Contaminated Dredged Materials

Phytoremediation is a technology that uses vegetation to remediate contaminants from water, soil, and sediments. Unlike traditional remediation techniques such as soil washing or vitrification, phytoremediation offers a technology that is solar-driven, aesthetically pleasing, and cost effective. Recent studies indicate that winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) is a potential accumulator for heav...

Interspecific and geographical variations of trace metal concentrations in cephalopods from Tunisian waters.

The concentrations of six metals (Ag, Cd, Cu, Hg, Pb, and Zn) were investigated and compared in three tissues (arms, digestive gland, and mantle) of three cephalopod species from the Tunisian waters: the common octopus (Octopus vulgaris), the common cuttlefish (Sepia officinalis), and the European squid (Loligo vulgaris). Whatever the species or the sites, the digestive gland displayed the high...
